The paperwork at pickup and delivery is your record of the car’s condition. A few minutes of prep makes it easy to read.

Pickup-day checklist

Wash the car so marks are easy to see.
Take dated photos of every side, the roof, and the odometer.
Walk around the car with the driver and point out any marks that are already there.
Read the condition report before you sign, and keep your copy.
